Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Pastry Chef role based in Lekki. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing and baking high-quality pastries, ensuring consistent taste and presentation, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety. Duties include creating new pastry recipes, monitoring ingredient inventory, and collaborating with the kitchen team to meet customer and event catering needs. The role also involves ensuring timely and accurate execution of food orders with creative flair and precision.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake high-quality pastries, small chops, and desserts.
  • Develop signature recipes and enhance existing ones to align with - - Yolo the Chops brand.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including adequate handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Ensure fresh and visually appealing presentation of foods.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Baking, Bakery, and producing a variety of high-quality pastries
  • Strong skills in Food Preparation, Cooking, and maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Proficiency in Culinary Skills and creative recipe development
  • Skilled in making parfait, yogurt, milkshake, zobo
  • Attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced on-site kitchen environment
  • Experience in event catering or producing for large-scale orders is a plus
  • Relevant certification or training in pastry arts or culinary field is preferred
