Partnerships & Sponsorship Lead — Volunteer
Organisation: The Mum Bridge & Care Foundation
Programme: Disability-Inclusive Motherhood Programme (DIMP) 2026
Location: Remote/Flexible
Duration: 4 months, September–December 2026
About The Mum Bridge
The Mum Bridge & Care Foundation is a community-led organisation working to ensure that disability is never a barrier to motherhood, opportunity or visibility. We work with mothers with disabilities through community support, access to resources and opportunities, advocacy and partnerships.
In November 2026, we will host the Disability-Inclusive Motherhood Programme (DIMP) in Lagos, bringing together 100 mothers with disabilities for a programme centred on access, opportunity, visibility and celebration.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Partnerships & Sponsorship Lead (Volunteer) to support DIMP over a four-month period.
The role will focus on identifying and developing relationships with organisations that can support the programme through financial sponsorship, in-kind contributions and strategic partnerships.
This is an ownership-driven role. We are looking for someone who can manage potential partnerships from research and initial outreach through follow-up, meetings and, where possible, confirmed support.
You will work directly with the Founder and DIMP team and will have access to our existing sponsorship materials and partnership pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a targeted pipeline of potential corporate, foundation and institutional partners.
- Research relevant organisations and identify appropriate decision-makers and routes for engagement.
- Lead sponsorship and partnership outreach, including tailored emails, introductions and follow-ups.
- Secure and coordinate meetings with prospective partners and support partnership presentations and conversations.
- Maintain consistent follow-up and move viable opportunities towards confirmation.
- Identify opportunities for financial sponsorship, in-kind contributions and strategic collaboration.
- Maintain an organised partnership tracker with clear next steps and status updates.
- Coordinate with the DIMP team once partnerships are confirmed to ensure appropriate handover and partner engagement.
- Support post-programme partner appreciation, reporting and relationship management.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience or demonstrated interest in partnerships, business development, sponsorship, fundraising, CSR, sales, account management or a related area.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and engaging prospective partners professionally.
- Able to follow up consistently and move conversations forward.
- Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple partnership conversations at different stages.
- Able to take ownership of outcomes rather than wait for individual tasks to be assigned.
- Experience in the nonprofit or social-impact sector is an advantage, but not required.
Commitment
- Four-month volunteer role from September to December 2026.
- Remote and flexible.
- Greater time commitment will be required in the lead-up to DIMP in November.
- Availability for regular team check-ins and occasional meetings with prospective partners.
- Commitment to consistent outreach, follow-up and partnership management throughout the assignment.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a programme being built with and for mothers with disabilities while gaining practical experience in partnerships, sponsorship development and social-impact programme delivery.
