Painter

Responsibilities:

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and applying primers where necessary.
• Mixing and matching paints, colours, and finishes according to specifications.
• Applying paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other appropriate equipment.
• Painting interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, windows, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Ensuring smooth, even, and professional finishes with minimal wastage.
• Protecting floors, furniture, fixtures, and other areas from paint spills and damage.
• Performing touch-ups and repainting where required.
• Identifying damaged surfaces and recommending appropriate preparation or treatment.
• Maintaining painting tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
• Cleaning work areas and properly storing unused materials after completing assignments.
• Following workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Working according to assigned schedules, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Reporting material requirements, equipment problems, and completed work to the supervisor or management.
• Performing other painting and maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of an SSCE
• 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
