Packaging and Marketing Officer

Responsibilities:

Packaging & Production Support:

• Package food items neatly and hygienically in line with NAFDAC and company standards.
• Ensure correct labelling, sealing, and date marking of all products.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the packaging area.
• Monitor inventory of packaging materials and notify management of replenishment.
• Assist in quality checks to ensure consistency and freshness of products.

Marketing & Sales Development:

• Identify and approach potential sales outlets, including supermarkets, mini-marts, open markets, and distributors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and vendors
• Conduct regular market visits to promote products and gather market intelligence
• Create awareness and visibility for the brand through sampling, displays, and product presentations
• Achieve set sales targets and report on progress regularly.

Reporting & Coordination:

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends
• Work closely with the production team to plan packaging according to sales forecasts
• Provide input on marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.

Requirements:

• OND/HND/B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in food packaging marketing or sales (preferably FMCG).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Must be energetic, proactive, and willing to travel to different markets.
