The Operations & Shortlet Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of short-let apartments, maximising occupancy, ensuring excellent guest experience, and maintaining high property standards. The role involves coordinating cleaners and vendors, handling guest issues, monitoring property condition, and supporting revenue growth.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Operations & Guest Management

  • Oversee daily operations of short-let apartments
  • Manage bookings, check-ins, and check-outs across platforms
  • Serve as the first point of contact for guest enquiries, issues, and complaints
  • Ensure guests comply with house rules and property standards
  • Maintain a positive guest experience before, during, and after stays


Property Oversight & Maintenance

  • Monitor property condition, inventory, and utilities
  • Coordinate cleaners, laundry, and maintenance vendors
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure apartments are guest-ready
  • Report damages, losses, or maintenance issues promptly


Occupancy & Growth Support

  • Support occupancy by managing availability and reducing downtime
  • Build and maintain a guest and client list for repeat bookings
  • Encourage referrals and repeat stays
  • Support partnerships or initiatives that improve occupancy and revenue


Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain basic operational records and reports
  • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately
  • Work closely with management to ensure operational targets are met


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in short-let, hospitality, or serviced apartment operations
  • Experience using booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, or similar)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate cleaners and service providers effectively
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Reliable, proactive, and physically present in Lagos
  • Must reside around the Orchid - Ikota axis
