Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate) and report any abnormalities to the supervising nurse immediately.
• Mobility Assistance: Help patients turn, move in bed, and transfer between beds and wheelchairs. Assist with ambulation (walking) as needed.
• Ward Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms are kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Change bed linens and manage clinical laundry.
• Specimen Collection: Assist in the collection of samples (e.g., urine or stool) for laboratory testing as directed.
• Observation & Reporting: Act as the "eyes and ears" of the nursing team, reporting any changes in a patient’s physical or mental condition or any concerns raised by family members.
• Emotional Support: Provide a friendly and supportive presence for patients and their families during their hospital stay.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND or equivalent.
• At least [1-2] years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
• Any Healthcare Assistant certificate or equivalent.
• Exceptional empathy and a "patient-first" attitude.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow strict medical instructions and protocols.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and the physical strength to assist in lifting and moving patients.
