Nursery Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for young children
• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children and their families
• Assess, record, and track each child’s progress and create individual learning plans where necessary
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to implement the school’s curriculum
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s development
• Provide learning experiences that support social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Ensure all children are treated with respect, dignity, and care
• Follow all school policies on health, safety, and child protection
• Create teaching and learning resources as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Teaching certification or license from a recognized authority
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an Early Years/Nursery setting
• Strong knowledge of child development theory and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and management
• Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability
• Patience, empathy, and passion for working with young children

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor classroom environment
• May involve standing, sitting, and moving for long periods
• May require lifting or moving learning materials
• Full-time position (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Location: Ikeja
• Remuneration: NGN 70,000 – ₦120,000 per month
