Night Auditor

Responsibilities:

Financial Accuracy & Reconciliation:

• Reconcile daily sales from all revenue units against receipts, POS slips, and dockets.
• Ensure all income is accurately recorded and accounted for, with potential revenue such as no-show charges properly captured.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies before guest check-out.
• Verify that Mini-mart sales are paid for or correctly posted to guest folios.

PMS & Night Audit:

• Complete the PMS day-close/night audit process and ensure daily backups are properly done.
• Verify that keycard access matches guest room assignments and length of stay.
• Compare PMS room status with physical room checks and report discrepancies.

Revenue Protection & Compliance:

• Monitor for unauthorized rate changes, fraudulent complimentary transactions, and other irregularities that may result in revenue leakage.
• Document and report anomalies for proper investigation and follow-up.

Inventory & Asset Control:

• Ensure all purchased or supplied items are properly captured on Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
• Participate in mid-month equipment and tools counts across departments.
• Support month-end inventory counts and provide accurate information for stock valuation and service charge preparation.
• Conduct physical checks of the property and report damaged or missing assets.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Experience in hotel finance, night audit, revenue control, inventory, or a related role.
• Familiarity with hotel PMS and POS systems.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and handle confidential financial information.
• Strong integrity, accountability, and reporting skills.
