Our client, a reputable maritime training institute located in Warri, Delta State, is seeking to hire a highly experienced Nautical Instructor to join its training team.

📍 Location: Warri, Delta State

📌 Reports To: Training Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Nautical Instructor, preferably a retired Master with a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC), to deliver high-quality maritime training and assessments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry experience and a strong background in classroom instruction.

Requirements

✔ Retired Master with a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)

✔ Minimum of 5 years' classroom training experience in a maritime training program

✔ Strong knowledge of STCW regulations and maritime industry standards

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs

✔ Expatriates are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Deliver classroom training and assessments for maritime students

🔹 Develop and update course materials in line with STCW and regulatory requirements

🔹 Provide guidance and mentorship to students

🔹 Conduct assessments and evaluate student performance

🔹 Collaborate with other instructors to ensure training quality and consistency

🔹 Stay informed of industry developments and regulatory updates

Desirable Skills

🔹 Experience with online learning platforms and digital tools

🔹 Familiarity with Nigerian maritime regulations and industry practices
