Job summary

We are looking to employ an efficient and highly skilled Salon Manager to oversee all salon operations. The Salon Manager’s responsibilities include enforcing staff compliance with the salon’s health and safety policies, identifying ways to increase salon revenue, and ensuring that salon equipment is serviced and repaired as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, supervising staff and ensuring excellent customer experience.
  • Support the CEO to establish and refine the operating rhythm of the business.
  • Customer service duties, including managing appointments and inventory management.
  • Ensure clients are comfortable at all times – e.g., meet and greet clients with a welcoming smile, offer refreshments and magazines.
  • Processing clients’ payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Monitoring and analyzing transactions and producing financial reports or statements.
  • Maintain the day-to-day operational standards of the salon.
  • Recruiting salon staff who meet mandatory educational and experience requirements.
  • Preparing work schedules for salon staff.
  • Setting goals for each staff member, evaluating staff performance, and providing training and overall guidance.
  • Monitoring salon supplies and equipment, and ordering new stock as needed.
  • Addressing and resolving client complaints regarding salon services and employee behavior.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create, implement, and roll out plans for operational processes and company policies.
  • Develop & implement key business and marketing strategies.
  • Create materials to support corporate content and business reviews; ensure delivery meets high-quality standards.
  • Lead the implementation of company-wide performance management from planning to review.
  • Develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate operational policies and procedures.
  • Interface with Marketing, Communications, and other teams to align messaging.
  • Create opportunities for synergies and partnerships for long-term growth and sustainability
  • Ultimately, an exceptional Salon Manager should achieve excellent customer service by ensuring that clients have a pleasant salon experience.


Requirements:

  • Experience Length: 3 years
  • Minimum academic qualification of a university degree in business management and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a salon
  • Hands-on experience with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Excel applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong management and leadership skills and be able to motivate staff to achieve salon goals.
