Job summary

We are seeking to hire for the role of a Mixologist to design, prepare, and serve innovative, high-quality cocktails while creating a memorable guest experience that drives bar revenue and brand reputation.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Beverage Creation & Service:

  • Recipe Development: Create new cocktail menus, seasonal drinks, and signature serves using spirits, bitters, syrups, infusions, and fresh ingredients
  • Drink Preparation: Mix and serve classic + signature mocktails to spec, ensuring consistency, taste, and visual presentation 
  • Quality Control: Maintain standards for taste, garnish, glassware, and portion control. Reduce wastage/spillage


Guest Experience & Sales:

  • Customer Engagement: Interact with guests, recommend drinks based on preference, and upsell premium brands 
  • Showmanship: Perform flair bartending, explain ingredients/process, and create an entertaining bar atmosphere
  • Event Support: Lead mocktail tastings, masterclasses, or bar takeovers for special events


Bar Operations & Compliance: 

  • Inventory & Stock: Monitor liquor, mixers, fresh produce, and garnish levels. Raise requisitions to avoid stock-outs
  • Bar Setup & Cleanliness: Prep mise-en-place, maintain bar area hygiene, and ensure all tools/glassware are clean per NAFDAC + hygiene standards
  • Cash & Controls: Follow cashiering/POS process, prevent over-pouring, and reduce shrinkage 


 Requirements:

  • Knowledge of  wines, fruits, spirits, and mixology techniques
  • Ability to develop new recipes and pair flavors
  • Charisma, customer service, communication, and works well under pressure
  • 2 years in bartending/mixology. 
  • Long hours standing, night/weekend shifts, fast-paced environment


KPIs:

  • Bar sales/revenue per shift 
  • Drink consistency + low wastage % 
  • Positive guest feedback/reviews 
  • New mocktail uptake/menu performance
