Mill Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all operational activities within the palm oil mill during assigned shifts, including sterilization, threshing, pressing, clarification, and kernel recovery.
  
• Ensure optimal utilization of machinery and manpower to achieve daily production targets.
  
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
  
• Enforce compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
  
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality control in each stage of the milling process.
  
• Maintain accurate records of daily production, material usage, machine operating hours, and performance reports.
  
• Supervise and motivate mill workers, ensuring adherence to work schedules and discipline.
  
• Report any abnormalities, faults, or incidents to the Mill Manager and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Ensure proper handling and storage of palm oil and by-products (e.g., palm kernel, fiber, shells).
  
• Assist in training new operators and technicians on safe and efficient milling practices.

Requirements:

• OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in palm oil mill operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of palm oil milling processes and machinery.
  
• Ability to supervise workers and coordinate shift activities effectively.
  
• Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in industrial settings.
  
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
  
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to work with mill production software are added advantages.
