Medical Officer-OH Lagos Clinic

The Occupational Health (OH) Medical officer is responsible for the quality delivery of all Occupational Health related medical services offered by CIMS Intl. Medical Services at our Ikoyi Lagos Clinic. The Medical officer will be expected to undertake their tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and professional way in alignment with International best practice and Company Occupational Health governance protocol.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of competent and professional OH services according to established standards in conjunction with the Medical Director , provide reports and propose appropriate action plans
• Conduct pre-employment, pre-placement, periodic, post-absence and exit medical examinations either of a general or a specific nature and related either to work effects or lifestyle effects
• Proactively raise service delivery related issues to line managers
• Put in measures to see that operational delivery of OH services and patient care performed by medical and clinic support staff meet the appropriate international best practice standards
• Provide emergency or resuscitation care in the event of rare and unanticipated
• Handle referral of medical fitness attendees and see to successful case closure
• Earn and maintain appropriate certifications and license
• Willing to learn Occupational health procedures and champion OH equipment training for new joiners
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by CIMS medical and administrative principals

Qualifications

[MBBS 2 to 5 years post NYSC, post graduation Occupational health qualification will be an advantage
