Medical Officer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient consultations, medical assessments, and physical examinations.
• Take accurate medical histories and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within the scope of practice.
• Prescribe medications and treatments appropriately.
• Request and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
• Provide preventive healthcare advice, patient education, and counselling.
• Identify cases requiring specialist intervention and make appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization when required.
• Collaborate with nurses, laboratory personnel, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other healthcare activities.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support the overall delivery of a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

• MBBS from a recognized institution.
• Must have completed NYSC.
• Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience.
• Must be fully registered and licensed to practice medicine in Nigeria.
• A current Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) practising licence is required.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good medical documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities effectively.

Remuneration: NGN 400,000 net Monthly
