Medical Laboratory Technician

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens according to established procedures.

• Perform routine laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Serology, and Urinalysis.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control procedures.

• Record, analyze, and report laboratory findings promptly and accurately.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to infection prevention and laboratory safety protocols.
• Monitor reagent inventory and notify management of stock requirements.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the laboratory.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities.
  

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional license/certification where applicable.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of laboratory experience in a clinical or diagnostic setting.
• Experience operating automated laboratory analyzers is an advantage.

• Good understanding of laboratory quality control and safety standards.

• Proficiency in specimen collection and handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy and experience with laboratory information systems are an added advantage.
