Medical Doctor

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, medical assessments, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within the scope of practice.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and prescribe medications where necessary.
• Request and appropriately interpret laboratory and radiology investigations.
• Review and explain diagnostic results to patients and provide appropriate clinical guidance.
• Identify cases requiring specialist review and make timely referrals.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.
• Provide follow-up care and monitor patients' progress and response to treatment.
• Identify medical emergencies and provide appropriate initial management and escalation.
• Promote preventive healthcare through patient education, screening, and lifestyle counselling.
• Work closely with laboratory, radiology, nursing, and other healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, professional standards, infection prevention practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training where required.
• Support the development and implementation of clinical policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, corporate clients, HMOs, referral partners, and other healthcare providers.
• Support health screening, corporate medical services, outreach programmes, and other clinical initiatives as required.
• Contribute to the growth of clinical services through excellent patient experience and appropriate service utilisation.

Requirements:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognised institution.
• Must have completed NYSC.
• Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC clinical experience.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Experience in a hospital, clinic, diagnostic centre, or other healthcare setting is an advantage.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an advantage.
