Medical Consultant

Bergstein Hospital – Ikorodu, the flagship facility of Bergstein Health Systems, is recruiting a highly competent Consultant to serve as Medical Director.

This is a senior executive clinical leadership role responsible for day-to-day clinical governance, standards enforcement, and multidisciplinary supervision within a structured, high-performance healthcare environment.

The Medical Director will report directly to the Group Chief Medical Director, Bergstein Health Systems.

ELIGIBLE SPECIALTIES:

Applications are invited from recognised Consultants in:

• Internal Medicine
• Surgery
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Paediatrics
• Family Medicine
• Anesthesia
• Radiology
• Or other relevant clinical specialties

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide overall clinical leadership at the Ikorodu facility
• Enforce evidence-based protocols and documentation standards
• Lead morbidity & mortality meetings and clinical audits
• Supervise Medical Officers and oversee nursing clinical standards
• Maintain full regulatory compliance (HEFAMAA, MDCN, etc.)
• Drive patient safety, discipline, and accountability
• Submit structured clinical performance reports to the Group CMD
• Support service development and clinical expansion initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

• MBBS with full MDCN registration
• Recognised Consultant qualification (FWACP, FMCP, FMCFM or equivalent)
• Demonstrated clinical leadership or hospital management experience
• Strong governance and enforcement capacity
• Ability to operate within a structured executive reporting framework

COMPENSATION:

• Salary: ₦1,200,000 – ₦2,000,000 per month (gross)
