Strategic Marketing:
- Develop and implement annual and long-term marketing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive marketing plans and product launch strategies.
- Identify market opportunities and emerging healthcare trends.
- Develop competitive positioning for all assigned brands.
- Drive market expansion into new therapeutic areas and geographical markets.
Brand Management:
- Develop and execute brand strategies for ethical, OTC, and consumer healthcare products.
- Monitor product life cycles and recommend growth strategies.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all marketing channels.
- Develop annual brand plans with measurable objectives and KPIs.
- Manage brand profitability and market performance.
Market Research & Business Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, purchasing behaviors, and competitor activities.
- Analyze pharmaceutical market trends, pricing, and market dynamics.
- Generate actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor competitor product launches, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Utilize market intelligence to optimize product positioning.
Product Management:
- Develop marketing strategies for new product introductions.
- Coordinate product launches from planning through commercialization.
- Prepare product forecasts in collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitor product performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Manage product portfolios to maximize profitability.
Sales Support:
- Partner with the Sales team to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Develop sales promotional materials and campaign tools.
- Equip field representatives with effective detailing materials and product knowledge.
- Organize product training sessions for sales teams.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities.
Marketing Communications:
- Develop integrated marketing communication strategies.
- Oversee promotional campaigns across traditional and digital platforms.
- Ensure all promotional materials comply with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Manage corporate marketing events, conferences, exhibitions, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and key opinion leaders.
Digital Marketing:
- Develop digital marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement.
- Manage the company's online presence and digital campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance using analytics.
- Improve digital visibility and customer experience.
- Explore innovative digital healthcare marketing solutions.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget.
- Monitor marketing expenditures and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Optimize return on marketing investment (ROMI).
- Negotiate with agencies, media partners, and vendors.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with applicable pharmaceutical regulations and ethical marketing standards.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs for promotional material approval.
- Ensure compliance with advertising guidelines and industry codes of conduct.
- Maintain accurate documentation for marketing approvals.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop the marketing team.
- Set departmental KPIs and monitor performance.
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training and development needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- MBA or Master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CIM (Nig), NIMN, or similar are desirable.
- Minimum of 8–10 years' relevant experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in ethical pharmaceuticals is essential.
- Experience launching pharmaceutical products and managing brands.
- Good understanding of the Nigerian pharmaceutical market.
