Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues
- Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance planning
- Monitor and manage utility systems (power, water, etc.)
- Maintain records of repairs, servicing, and maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with external technicians/vendors when required
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND/HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or any related field
- 2+ years proven experience in a similar maintenance role (preferably in a production or factory environment)
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to independently diagnose and fix issues without supervision
- Relevant technical certifications or hands-on training are an added advantage
- Someone proactive, not reactive
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly
- Detail-oriented with good documentation habits
