Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conducting general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor construction.
- Performing scheduled checks and maintenance on buildings, equipment (including safety systems like fire alarms), and grounds to prevent future issues.
- Overseeing external contractors, ensuring work is completed to a satisfactory standard, and liaising with residents or staff regarding maintenance needs.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting safety hazards.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, managing inventories of supplies, and using asset management software.
- Conducting regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify defects and maintenance requirements.
Requirements:
- Proficient in plumbing and electrical work
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repairs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must be physically fit and available to work on site
