Live in Nanny

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving, and responsible care for the children.
• Assist children with their schoolwork, homework, reading, and other learning activities.
• Supervise study sessions and encourage good study habits.
• Help children develop positive routines, discipline, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare the children for school and assist with their daily routines, where required.
• Organise age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities.
• Ensure the children’s safety and well-being at all times.
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children, where required.
• Keep the children’s rooms, clothing, toys, and personal belongings clean and organised.
• Monitor the children’s behaviour, progress, and general development.
• Communicate regularly with the parents regarding the children’s needs, activities, and academic progress.
• Respect the family’s privacy, household rules, and cultural or religious practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for the children.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a nanny, childcare provider, or in a similar role.
• Strong ability to assist children with homework, school assignments, reading, and basic learning activities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Patience, kindness, emotional maturity, and a genuine interest in childcare.
• Ability to supervise children, manage routines, and maintain appropriate discipline.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• High level of honesty, trustworthiness, and reliability.
• Good personal hygiene and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and follow parents’ instructions.
• Respect for family values, privacy, and household expectations.
• Willingness to reside with the family in Abuja.
• Ability to provide credible references from previous employers is an advantage.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Female candidates in their 40s are preferred.
• Muslim candidates are preferred.
• Candidates with previous experience supporting children’s academic development are highly desirable.
• Candidates with basic first-aid knowledge or childcare training will have an added advantage.
