Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, attention, and companionship to four dogs.
- Feed the dogs according to their schedules and dietary requirements.
- Take the dogs for daily walks, exercise, and playtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the dogs.
- Handle basic grooming and hygiene routines.
- Monitor the dogs’ health, behaviour, appetite, and general well-being.
- Administer basic medication when required and as instructed.
- Follow the owner’s instructions and established routines.
- Report any changes in the dogs’ health or behaviour promptly.
- Ensure the dogs are properly supervised and cared for at all times.
- Maintain professionalism, trustworthiness, and confidentiality within the household.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience caring for dogs.
- Genuine love and understanding of dogs.
- Good knowledge of basic dog care and handling.
- Physically fit and comfortable with active dogs.
- Calm, patient, responsible, and reliable.
- Able to follow instructions and established routines.
- Good observation and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of dog hygiene and grooming.
- Comfortable administering basic medication when instructed.
- Trustworthy, honest, respectful, and discreet.
- Non-smoker.
- Previous employer references are an advantage.
- Willingness to work live-in in Abuja.
