Nigeria Business Finder - Listing Agent
Job summary
As a listing agent, you will be the face of Nigeria Business Finder in your assigned state. You'll identify local businesses, explain the benefits of getting listed, and guide owners through onboarding, turning offline relationships into registered, verified profiles on our platform. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape Nigeria's leading business directory in your own backyard.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), corporates, and professionals in your state through field visits, calls, email, and local events.
- Clearly explain the value of a Nigeria Business Finder listing from free basic profiles to premium visibility, CAC-verified badges, and lead generation tools.
- Guide business owners through accurate, complete onboarding and profile setup.
- Build relationships with local trade associations, market unions, and business groups to unlock bulk sign-ups.
- Organize or support local activation events and sign-up drives.
- Track your registrations, report weekly/monthly performance, and share market and competitor feedback with the central team.
- Maintain a strong, positive reputation for Nigeria Business Finder in your territory.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or field marketing (experience with directories, marketplaces, or digital platforms is a plus).
- A degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- A resident of (or deeply connected to) the state you are applying for, with strong local commercial knowledge.
- Comfortable using a smartphone, email, and basic digital tools to manage leads and submit reports.
- A natural networker who already has (or can quickly build) relationships with business owners and associations in your state.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while hitting monthly targets.
- Willing to travel within your state to meet business owners in person.
- Existing ties to Small & medium enterprise (SME) networks, Trade Associations, or Local
- Business Communities are a strong advantage
