Learning & Research Officer
Job descriptions & requirements
About the Role
At EDVES, we work at the intersection of schools, data, and real classroom practice. We are looking for a Learning & Research Officer who can help us ask the right questions, make sense of what’s happening in schools, and turn evidence into better decisions.
This role sits close to implementation. You will work with our education, product, and field teams to study what works, what doesn’t, and why—using data from classrooms, teachers, and school systems to improve learning delivery and education outcomes.
If you enjoy working with real-world education data, visiting schools, and translating research into practical improvements, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supporting education research, needs assessments, and learning impact reviews across EDVES projects
- Helping design, review, and improve learning models, training materials, and instructional frameworks
- Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from schools and field activities
- Writing clear research notes, learning reports, briefs, and evaluation summaries for internal and external use
- Supporting monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities across ongoing implementations
- Documenting lessons learned, challenges, and best practices from school-level work
- Working closely with internal teams to turn insights into practical changes in products, training, and delivery
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Research, or a related field
- 2–4 years experience in education research, learning design, MEL, EdTech, or school-based programs
