Laundry Officer
Job summary
The Laundry Officer is responsible for the proper collection, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, storage, and distribution of hotel linens, uniforms, towels, and other washable items while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and care.

Responsibilities:
- Collect and sort soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, steamers, and other laundry equipment safely.
- Wash and treat items according to fabric type, color, and care requirements.
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and missing items before and after washing.
- Fold, iron, and neatly package clean laundry.
- Deliver clean linens, towels, and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry received, processed, damaged, or missing.
- Ensure adequate stock of clean linen is available for hotel operations.
- Report damaged or worn-out linen and equipment to the supervisor.
- Use detergents, chemicals, and cleaning products safely and appropriately.
- Keep the laundry area clean, hygienic, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow hotel hygiene, safety, infection-control, and housekeeping procedures.
- Minimize wastage of water, electricity, detergents, and other supplies.
- Assist with periodic inventory of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Hotel Manager.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
- A minimum of an NCE
