Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, steam presses, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or wear and report issues to supervisors.
- Follow proper laundry procedures for different fabric types and cleaning requirements.
- Ensure all laundry is processed according to hotel quality and hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate records of guest laundry services and deliveries.
- Monitor laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning chemicals and report shortages.
- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
- Respond promptly to departmental and guest laundry requests.
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to hotel policies, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School (S.S.C.E)
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
