Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sample collection, labeling, and preparation
- Handle centrifugation, pipetting, slide preparation, and other routine support tasks
- Maintain laboratory equipment and check for faults early
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with safety rules
- Support scientists during tests by preparing reagents, consumables, and materials
- Document activities accurately in logbooks and electronic systems
- Follow quality control instructions without shortcuts
- Report any unusual findings or equipment issues immediately
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent
- Basic working knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and a calm attitude, even during busy hours
- Ability to follow instructions with discipline and consistency
