Responsibilities:
- Collect, receive, process, and analyze patient specimens.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to approved procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory results.
- Maintain strict quality control and quality assurance standards.
- Follow laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures.
- Identify and report abnormal or critical test results promptly.
- Maintain proper records of specimens, test results, and laboratory activities.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Must be a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
- Valid practising license/certificate.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality-control practices.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork skills.
