Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, slicing meat, and preparing ingredients for the line cooks.
• Cleaning ovens, workstations, utensils, and pots; washing dishes; mopping floors; and disposing of rubbish to maintain hygiene standards.
• Unloading food deliveries, organizing storage areas, rotating stock (checking sell-by dates), and refilling condiment containers.
• Assisting cooks during busy periods, preparing food items to order, and following instructions from the head chef or manager.
• Ensuring all food handling meets health and safety regulations, including temperature checks, to prevent contamination.
• Must be able to work quickly under pressure during rush hours.
• Required to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE.
• No experience/ less than 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
• All candidates must be physically fit, medically fit, neat, and courteous. 
• All candidates should leave close to the location.
