Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to customer orders and company standards.
- Mix cocktails and other specialty beverages accurately and consistently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and glassware.
- Restock beverages, garnishes, ice, and other bar supplies as needed.
- Process customer orders and handle cash, POS transactions, and receipts accurately.
- Monitor customers' alcohol consumption and promote responsible drinking.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and report low stock levels to management.
- Work closely with waiters, kitchen staff, and supervisors to ensure efficient service.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a barman or bartender is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and drink preparation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Honest, reliable, and well-groomed with a professional appearance.
- Basic mathematical skills and experience using a POS system are an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
