Job summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Support chefs and cooks during meal preparation and service
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen tools promptly
- Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE / High School certificate
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness
