Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen production.
  
• Wash, clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas.
• Help arrange and organise ingredients and kitchen stock.
  
• Package customer orders neatly and accurately.
• Check every order before dispatch to ensure it is complete and properly packaged.
  
• Assist with handing completed orders to riders.
• Assist with catering/event preparations and execution.
  
• Run necessary kitchen/business errands.
• Go to the market to purchase ingredients and supplies when required.
  
• Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with general kitchen duties as assigned. 

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, catering business, bakery, food business, or similar environment.
• Academic qualification: Minimum of SSCE or ND. A university degree is not required.
• Must be able to communicate fluently and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene and safe food handling.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Preferably between 18 and 28 years of age.
• The person needs to be reliable, organised, hardworking and able to follow instructions.
• Experience working in a kitchen/food business is important.
  
• Experience going to the market to purchase ingredients/supplies is required.
