Job Summary

Our client, is seeking a detail-oriented Site Quantity Surveyor to manage cost-related aspects of construction projects. The Site Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for estimating, budgeting, and controlling project costs to ensure profitability and financial success.

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree

  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise to estimate and quantify the materials, labour, and costs required for construction projects accurately. This includes conducting comprehensive analysis and assessment based on project specifications, quantities, and prevailing market rates.
  • Prepare and meticulously review Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, and detailed cost estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct precise site measurements and surveys to verify quantities, assess work progress, and ensure that actual construction activities align with planned estimates and schedules.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and changes to identify cost implications, potential risks, and opportunities for cost optimization or value engineering, providing valuable insights to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures closely, tracking costs against planned estimates, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate proactively with project teams to optimize cost-efficiency and value engineering initiatives, leveraging expertise to identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and enhance overall project profitability.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable, risks are mitigated, and project requirements are met within budgetary constraints.
  • Provide expert cost advice and support to project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, offering insights, recommendations, and solutions to address cost-related challenges and achieve project objectives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
