Job Summary
The Inventory Manager oversees and maintains accurate stock levels across all locations, ensuring smooth restaurant and kitchen operations. The role is responsible for stock planning, tracking, reporting, and coordinating with procurement, finance, and kitchen teams to prevent shortages, control costs, and reduce waste.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy:
- Maintain real-time and accurate records of all raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and consumables.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts at all locations (outlets, warehouse, central kitchen).
- Investigate variances and prepare reconciliation reports.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO stock rotation to reduce wastage and spoilage.
- Monitor product shelf-life and report slow-moving or expiring items.
Stock Planning & Replenishment:
- Forecast stock needs based on sales, production plans, seasonality, and menu changes.
- Prepare timely replenishment requests to procurement and follow up to ensure delivery.
- Track supplier deliveries and confirm quality, quantity, and documentation.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain updated digital inventory records (POS/inventory software, Excel, or ERP).
- Prepare weekly inventory reports: consumption, variances, wastage, stock value, and reorder status.
- Submit monthly inventory summary to Finance for COGS calculation and audits.
Compliance & Storage Standards:
- Ensure all storage areas (dry, cold, frozen) are properly arranged, labelled, and maintained.
- Enforce hygiene standards during receiving, storage, and issuance.
- Ensure accurate temperature logs for chillers & freezers.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Kitchen Leads for daily production planning.
- Coordinate with Procurement to track pending orders and delivery timelines.
- Liaise with Finance during monthly audits and stock valuation.
Loss & Waste Management:
- Track breakages, wastage, and returns from outlets.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce loss, theft, and inefficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation of damaged or expired items.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a B.Sc. qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
