Inventory & Logistics Officer
Job summary
We are seeking an organized, honest and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Officer to manage inventory records, warehousing, order fulfilment and the movement of products between our production facility, stores, supermarkets and other customers.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, count, and properly record incoming products and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
- Monitor stock movements across the warehouse, stores and supermarket locations.
- Prepare stock requisitions, transfer notes, delivery notes and goods-received records.
- Coordinate product dispatch, deliveries and vehicle routing.
- Conduct daily stock checks and scheduled physical stock counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and promptly investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers and product condition.
- Apply FIFO and FEFO inventory-management principles.
- Maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Identify slow-moving, damaged, expired or near-expiry products and report them promptly.
- Coordinate with production, sales, procurement, stores and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor returned goods and ensure proper documentation and accountability.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory and logistics reports.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and compliant with food-safety requirements.
- Track delivery performance, fuel usage and logistics expenses.
- Recommend improvements that reduce stock losses, delivery delays and operational costs.
Requirements:
- OND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ relevant experience in inventory, warehousing or logistics.
- Experience in food production, FMCG, retail or supermarket distribution is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, FIFO and FEFO.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory-management software.
- Strong numerical, analytical and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads and delivery routes is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- High level of honesty, discipline, accountability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
