The Inventory and Procurement Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control and procurement processes within the organization. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services to meet the organization’s needs.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to accurately track and monitor stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Analyze demand patterns, sales data, and forecasts to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to identify and address inventory discrepancies, damages, and obsolescence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turnover, minimize carrying costs, and optimize space utilization.
Procurement:
- Collaborate with the sales department to determine procurement needs, specifications, and timelines.
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, negotiate terms, and establish vendor relationships.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procurement policies.
- Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, quality, and pricing, and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier selection.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor and track orders, shipments, and deliveries to guarantee the timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Collaborate with the sales department to forecast demand, plan for seasonal fluctuations, and manage inventory replenishment.
- Work with other departments to address any supply chain disruptions, delays, or quality concerns.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize supply chain operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to inventory levels, product sales, procurement activities, and supplier performance. Generate reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational enhancements.
- Present findings and recommendations to management, highlighting areas for optimization and potential cost reduction.
Requirements:
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- He/she should live within the Ejigbo, Isolo, and Oshodi Axis of Lagos State.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
- Proximity to the location is of the essence
