Inventory Accountant
Job summary
The Inventory Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory valuation, monitoring inventory-related financial transactions, and ensuring the integrity of stock records across all company locations. The role works closely with the Inventory Manager, Procurement, Production, and Finance teams to reconcile physical stock with accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate valuation and financial reporting of inventory assets
- Ensure alignment between physical inventory and financial records
- Analyse the cost of materials and identify opportunities for cost efficiency
- Support budgeting and financial planning through inventory insights
- Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to improve financial accuracy
- Lead inventory-related audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare detailed reports for management decision-making
Requirements:
- HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory, cost, or financial accounting
- Strong understanding of inventory costing methods and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA – part-qualified) is an added advantage
