Inventor & SolidWorks CAD Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Our clientele is international, and our reputation for delivering complicated and innovative products, development, and project management stages through to the manufacturing, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
• An exciting opportunity has arisen for joining the Design team as a CAD Design Engineer working on the challenging requirements behind bespoke products, as you will be an integral part of the team that turns the client’s vision into a fully detailed engineering specification package for our manufacturing plant.
• This key role involves research, development, and modelling within the modular home industry whilst liaising with clients, designers, and all the teams involved throughout the manufacturing/installation processes.
• You must have your own Autodesk Inventor Licence, and PC is desired.
• You are required to work full-time on the project. You will be required to modify already created models. To work from the limited information supplied by customers in order to design project templates for clients.
• Work with customers, via phone calls, email, or customer visits to our facilities, to develop new products and resolve product application difficulties and other technical issues.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Work with new and existing suppliers to obtain quotes for parts, produce all relevant documentation to enable the product to be made consistently, support sales, arrange product testing to appropriate standards, etc.

Requirments:

• Degree level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• You will be at an advantage if you have any industry experience. · Good materials knowledge – Modular Building experience/steel.
• Experience with CAD software packages e.g Autodesk Inventor / AutoCAD / SOLIDWORKS.
• You will be at an advantage if you have any CNC programming experience. · It would be advantageous if you have any experience with 3D printing. · Highly practically minded, creative, and innovative.
