Internal Control Officer

Responsibilities:

• Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing potential risks that could impact the organization's operations, finances, or reputation.
  
• Control Framework Development: Designing and implementing internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Audit and Review: Conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure internal controls are operating effectively.
• Reporting and Recommendations: Providing reports and recommendations to management and the board of directors on internal control issues and improvements.
• Protect Assets: Safeguard the organization's assets from unauthorized use, theft, or loss.
• Ensure Accuracy and Reliability: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting and
• Promote Efficiency: Promote efficient and effective operations.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related field.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A professional certificate (ICAN).
• Risk assessment skill or ability.
• Ability to identify and address control deficiencies across business functions.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Internal Control or Audit Functions.
• Male or Female.
• Age – 28 to 35 years.
• Expertise in developing and implementing effective internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Knowledge of internal control and internal audit methodologies to conduct comprehensive reviews of controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively present findings to senior management.
• Ability to identify control issues, analyse root causes, and propose practical solutions.
