Responsibilities:
- Engage with internal stakeholders to identify focus areas, improvement opportunities, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and provide expert guidance on all QHSE matters to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, internal policies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and site visits to assess equipment, processes, and operational efficiencies.
- Interview staff and management to gauge the effectiveness of existing procedures, personnel performance, and internal controls.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify performance trends and risk areas.
- Develop and recommend improved workflow and process strategies to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive internal audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
- Oversee and monitor the implementation of approved improvements, updated processes, and revised workflows.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of newly implemented processes and ensure alignment with QHSE management systems.
- Stay informed of emerging industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and relevant technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.Eng) or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant management systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in research, laboratory science, internal auditing, or related fields.
- Proven experience executing audit projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Strong risk assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent understanding of business processes, workflows, and organizational structures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with workflow, process control, and audit software tools.
- Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience leading or managing teams is an added advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos.
