Information Security Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor IT systems and networks for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports with recommendations.
• Conduct security awareness training for staff to promote a strong security culture.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system architecture and implementation.
• Perform regular audits of systems, applications, and access controls.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and risk management.
  
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or NIST.
• Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection).
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
