In-House Counsel
Job summary
The In-House Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support to the Company’s operations, ensuring compliance with Nigerian laws, telecommunications regulations, and industry best practices. The role involves advising management on legal risks, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, supporting regulatory compliance with the NCC.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to management and internal departments on day-to-day operational, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts including customer agreements, vendor agreements, service-level agreements (SLAs), leases, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable telecommunications laws, NCC regulations, data protection laws (including NDPR), and other relevant Nigerian legislation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the NCC, on licensing, filings, renewals, audits, and compliance issues.
- Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, policies, and internal compliance frameworks.
- Manage and coordinate disputes, litigation, arbitration, and external counsel as required.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the ISP and telecommunications sector and advise management accordingly.
- Assist with employment and labor law matters, including HR policies, disciplinary processes, and compliance with labor regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Minimum of a BSc.
