Role Description The ICT Hardware Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Harcourt. The instructor will design and deliver hands-on training programs on computer hardware, networking basics, device maintenance, and related ICT infrastructure. Daily tasks include planning lessons, preparing learning materials, conducting classroom and lab sessions, demonstrating hardware configuration and troubleshooting, and assessing learner performance through assignments and practical evaluations. The role involves supporting learners with guidance and feedback, maintaining training equipment and labs, collaborating with colleagues to update curricula, and ensuring that teaching content aligns with current industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and system troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess Teaching, Training, and Lecturing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners at different levels.
- Candidates should possess Software Development knowledge sufficient to introduce learners to basic programming concepts and software-hardware integration.
- Relevant academic qualification in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in hardware, networking, or IT support are an advantage.
- Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a learner-focused approach and strong organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to design practical learning activities, update training materials, and stay current with emerging technologies in ICT.
- Experience in an educational or training environment, technical support, or ICT consulting is beneficial.
