Human Resources Manager
Job summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, policy development, and compliance. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership ability, experience in a structured corporate environment, and the capacity to build scalable HR systems in a growing fintech company.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition processes
- Design onboarding and employee engagement programs
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Oversee performance management and appraisal systems
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate training and development initiatives
- Manage payroll processes in collaboration with the finance team
- Build and maintain a positive company culture
- HND/BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in HR management (fintech, banking, or tech industry preferred)
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, etc.) is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience building HR structures in a growing startup or fintech company
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and digital HR tools
- Experience managing hybrid or remote teams
