Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission, growth plans, and future workforce capabilities.
- Advise the leadership team on organisational structure, culture, and workforce planning to support business objectives.
- Lead company-wide initiatives, including succession planning, employer branding (EVP), and change management programmes.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, retention, and exit processes.
- Design and implement competency frameworks to support career progression, talent development, and leadership pipelines.
- Partner with line managers to translate business goals into clear team and individual performance objectives.
- Ensure all HR operations comply with Nigerian labour laws and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies covering recruitment, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
- Manage HR reporting, audits, and documentation with a high level of accuracy, structure, and confidentiality.
- Lead initiatives to build a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven organisational culture.
- Develop and manage employee feedback systems, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and internal communication channels.
- Promote transparency and strong communication between leadership and employees across the organisation.
- Mentor and develop HR team members, ensuring clarity of roles, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations and sensitive HR matters.
- Manage and resolve employee grievances proactively and professionally to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6–8 years progressive experience in a senior HR management role, preferably within a fast-paced or professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian labour law, statutory requirements, and HR compliance.
- Proven experience leading strategic HR initiatives and driving organisational transformation.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing HR systems, frameworks, and policies from the ground up.
- Experience in workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership.
- Experience mentoring HR teams and leading cross-functional HR initiatives.
- Familiarity with employee engagement strategies, learning and development programmes, and performance management systems.
- Strong strategic thinking and organisational design capability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Effective team leadership and people management skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive structure within evolving organisations.
