Job Overview
The Human Resource Supervisor at Jawa International Limited is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations to ensure effective talent management, employee engagement, compliance with labor laws, and support for business objectives in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves supervising HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and maintaining accurate HR records.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
- Manage employee relations issues, provide guidance on disciplinary actions, and ensure fair resolution of grievances.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Ensure compliance with all Nigerian labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
- Administer payroll, benefits, leave management, and compensation processes.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct HR audits and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Promote a positive work culture and employee engagement initiatives.
- Handle exit processes, including exit interviews and offboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads on manpower planning and workforce optimization.
- Support internal and external HR audits.
Qualifications
- Education:
- B.Sc./HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
