Job summary
The human resources executive is responsible for supporting the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programmes across the organisation. The role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, compliance with labour laws, and supporting organizational culture
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer management.
- Support onboarding and induction programmes for new employees.
- Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Support grievance handling and conflict resolution processes.
- Promote positive employee relations and workplace harmony.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare employment letters (appointment, confirmation, promotion, transfer, disciplinary, and exit).
- Manage employee attendance, leave records, and HR documentation.
Performance Management:
- Support the implementation of performance appraisal processes.
- Track KPIs and appraisal timelines.
- Assist managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs).
Learning & Development:
- Coordinate training programmes and maintain training records.
- Assist in identifying training needs and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Support staff development and capacity-building initiatives.
Policy Implementation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Nigerian labour laws, and internal procedures.
- Support HR audits and ISO-related HR documentation (where applicable).
- Assist in policy review and implementation.
Exit Management
- Coordinate exit processes, including resignation acceptance, clearance, exit interviews, and documentation.
- Ensure timely handover and recovery of company assets.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws
- Confidentiality and ethical judgment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS/ERP systems
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
