Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure the hotel/resort complies with all statutory HSE requirements and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections of facilities, kitchens, pools, guest rooms, and maintenance areas.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
- Maintain and update all HSE documentation, permits, and reports.
Training & Awareness
- Organize and conduct safety training programs, drills, and toolbox talks for all staff.
- Educate employees on proper use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
- Ensure all departments maintain proper signage (e.g., “Wet Floor,” “No Smoking,” “Fire Exit”).
Incident Management
- Record, investigate, and report all incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly.
- Lead root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.
- Liaise with external safety agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
Environmental Sustainability
- Promote eco-friendly and sustainable practices (e.g., waste segregation, energy conservation, water management).
- Monitor compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
Fire Safety & Emergency Response
- Conduct regular fire drills and ensure functionality of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and alarm systems.
- Serve as a first responder during emergencies and coordinate evacuation procedures.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and compliance logs.
- Prepare periodic HSE performance reports for management review.

- Proven experience as a safety officer
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
