Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and people-oriented Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the organization's human resources function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the organization's goals.
  • Advise management on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Lead and supervise the HR team to ensure efficient delivery of HR services.
  • Drive initiatives that improve employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including workforce planning, job advertising, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Partner with department heads to understand staffing needs and workforce requirements.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
  • Design and manage the organization's performance management system.
  • Coordinate employee performance appraisals, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs and develop learning and development programs.
  • Support succession planning and career development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Address employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Guide managers on employee relations issues and employment practices.
  • Promote employee engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend competitive compensation structures.
  • Manage employee leave, attendance, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws and other applicable employment regulations.
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management dashboards.
  • Coordinate audits related to HR compliance and documentation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration.
  • Proven years of progressive HR experience, 
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and employment law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
