Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and people-oriented HR Manager to oversee all HR functions within our hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting top talent, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, driving staff performance, and creating a positive workplace culture that supports excellent guest service.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Manage the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels across all hotel departments.


Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment.
  • Promote employee engagement and staff morale initiatives.


Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs.
  • Organize orientation programs for new hires.
  • Support management in performance improvement plans.


Performance Management:

  • Oversee staff appraisals and performance review systems.
  • Ensure departmental KPIs and standards are communicated and monitored.
  • Advise department heads on disciplinary procedures and staff development.


Payroll & Benefits Administration:

  • Coordinate payroll processes with finance/accounting.
  • Manage employee records, leave schedules, benefits, and attendance systems.


Compliance & Policies:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.


Culture & Leadership:

  • Champion company values and workplace professionalism.
  • Support leadership in building a service-driven culture focused on guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


Preferred Qualities:

  • Hospitality mindset and customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
